I understand that you might not understand, based on your profile pic. No offense intended, it was just an opinion. Intended to ease Xist's pain?
There is no color called Arrest Me Silver. The only shade of red I care for is Koral Rot: VW L-code 351.
Likely because the first VW I was given a ride in was a 1958 sunroof Beetle on the Oregon Coast in the Summer. I still remember thinking the steering wheel sticking out of the dashboard looked like a faucet

No offense taken, was just curious. Blue would've been my ideal color choice, but I'm not picky about color. Definitely do appreciate the visibility of a non-white/gray car at times. I would've driven a Citrus if one had been available, much to the chagrin of anyone who would ride with me.

I personally like both red and blue Insights. I imagine silver will be the coolest during summer though. Definitely don't get an automatic.

White has a lower albedo, but who cares?
Which works out better in snow country, white or black?

I think it can go either way. Places that snow don't necessarily have mild summers, and there's so little sun in winter in most places that the color hardly matters.

Having a white car with halogen taillights is a bad idea in blizzardy conditions, as both the car and the taillights are hard to see. White is nice though if you don't live somewhere up north. Red is probably the most visible, both to other drivers and to the police. Honda's obsidian blue pearl is probably my favorite color ever.

I wanted silver while I lived in the Phoenix area, but now that I live where it snows I figure that black helps me, both to keep my car warm and melt snow, and in case I lose control and end up in a snow bank!

Red has problems at twilight.
