That would be great if you lived near Chicago.

This one looks weird. One small picture in a lame town preemptively named for a hurricane: https://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/c...697187871.html

$700 for a 1998 CVT HX with unknown miles.

Here is a 1997 HX the same color with a manual transmission and 181,000 miles in the same horrible town. They are asking $1,700, but I do not know how many people want to drive out there to look at cars. Hopefully you could negotiate to $1,500 or below.

When do I have eight hours to drive and look at a car?!

Hmmm.....$950 for an Insight with a new-ish battery....but how much would all the repairs cost....I still have my HX wheels so not having the OEM wheels wouldn't be critical since I can make smooth wheel covers and all, but still....but it most likely wouldn't be around when I start seriously looking for one anyway.

EDIT: No! It's a CVT! I wouldn't take it if it were free!

As beat up as it looks, I’d almost have to pass even if it were manual... it looks as though it’s had a rough life lol

Very true, unless you bought it for the battery and either sold it for parts or kept it as a parts car.

Geo Metro Convertible - $1500 (Dryden NY)
For Sale: 1991 Geo Metro Lsi Convertible. 3-cyl engine, 5-spd transmission.
Hi, I'm selling my little convertible. I have owned it for two years. This car is in good shape through and through, well maintained. It is also 26 years old, so it will have some things come up which will need repairs. I have kept her well maintained and repaired and replaced many worn parts. It has had new brakes, rotors, wheel bearings (on 3 wheels), and right side tie rods, installed over the last two years, the engine has been rebuilt with new rings, valves and timing belt, a new soft top put on, and all the fluids changed- In addition to the regular oil changes, it has had the transmission fluid changed and the cooling system flushed and filled.
It has a shake at highway speeds which I have been trying to figure out, right now I think its possibly the aluminum rims are a little out of round.
I don't know how many miles are on her. When I got this car two years ago the odometer read 16,000; now it reads 45,000. The odometer only goes up to 99,999 before turning over to 0 again.
The body and underneath of the car are solid, it has almost no rust. I try to show this in the pictures, that's why there is a photo of the underneath. The cosmetics of the car are decent, it has a couple little dings on the outside, which are hardly visible in the pictures; on the passenger door and front bumper. The interior is basically in good shape too, as you can see in the pictures. The fuel mileage is excellent.
Please give me a call with any questions. Thanks for looking
