This thread probably needs to be the "$3000 or less" thread now.

I periodically complain about sellers posting ads of cars without license plates and one troll suggested that it is suspicious that I am "always" buying cars. The rest of the time they either respond "Only another flipper would complain about that!" or "You idiot, you are supposed to remove your plates when you sell your car!

When you sell, yes. When you sign over the title and receive money. Not when you post for sale.

How am I supposed to test-drive that?!

I deeply miss driving a manual. Toyota stopped selling new Camrys and Corollas with manual transmissions, at least in the USA (except the expensive and overpowered, although cool in its own right, GR Corolla).

Driving, for me, is now officially a boring, menial task I have to do just because I'm afraid to get ran over by an SUV on my bicycle. Everything is a grey brick now. What are my options for a vehicle? A bunch of ultra-expensive, drab, boring, grey bricks.

First result at the moment is a $500 1972 convertible (for parts). ....and a 23-window bus for $38700!

I guess there's always old cars. I bought yet another used 2 seater manual in my fight against boring, but I'm not exactly helping stimulate the market to make new ones.

It's got the same artillery-spoke wheels as I have on my 1971. A flat-screen '74 will be a Standard Only $22K
