I would argue Slightly Upset Max has more problems than a blown head gasket, but that is a big one.

2000 Honda Insight SOLD AS IS

Quote:
For sale is a 2000 Honda Insight. We have loved this car and are its second owners. We have the original manual that came with the car, as well as the original marketing packet. The car has averaged over 50 mpg over the past 139700 miles, and it has a lot of life left. That being said, it does need some work and we don't know enough about cars to provide the TLC it needs. The title is clear, and the car has not been in any major accidents (one minor accident--some
Minor body damage referenced below). It was recently inspected (July I believe) and passed without problem.

Quirks/disclosures about this car:

1. This car will turn on just fine, and the engine runs smoothly. However, right now the car will not go into gear...we think a link is missing but have not yet brought it to the mechanic to confirm. There is no grinding noise when the gears are shifting, it's just not catching.

2. There is some damage to the passenger side door from being sideswiped while we were driving. We replaced the mirror, and the door closes fine, but the seal of the door is not as tight.

3. We have noticed that the brake system seems to run out of fluid more quickly than would be expected. We brought it into the mechanic and they could not find a leak. There may be a leak elsewhere but it wasn't identified.

4. When downshifting into 1st gear (when the car is running), there is some grinding if you downshift while the car is going over 10-15 mph. If you shift when the car is going more slowly, this is less of a problem.

As noted, this car is being sold as is. I believe the price is fair considering that this is a novelty car and could be worth much more with a little TLC. We are open to reasonable offers. We also would be able to have triple AAA drop the car off at a local location for the buyer as the car is not driving now. Please feel free to contact with any questions.

That's a funny line. More quickly than expected, eh?

I'll see your questionable cheap hybrid and raise you another questionable cheap hybrid!

My guess: a big truck backed into that corner and squashed it.

Prius has some damage. Panel damage can be seen in the picture.

Exhaust is detached, suspension is damaged (I think a spring is broken), check engine light is on, windshield is cracked in 2 places, hood release has failed.

$1000 OBO.

Let me know f you have questions or want to make an offer.

That insight isn't worth 500$. Losing fluid means rusted brake/fuel lines, which is easily a 1,000$ fix depending on where you have it done.
Won't go into gear? Probably bad transmission. Minimum 1500$.
Battery is probably toast too, so that's another 2k.

I would give them 300$ for it, and I would just part the car out. Not worth fixing.
