Always ask "Do you have a clean title in your name and keys in hand?"!

I had a mechanic meet me at the lady's house to see what was actually wrong with the car. I feel that I have a natural distrust of people since I deployed, but I believe that should be standard when buying someone else's problem--I mean car.
The self-identified hillbilly said that her hillbilly son said that he cut a fuel line to drain the gas. I asked why he did that and she asked "You grew up in the city, right?"
The mechanic could not find any cuts, but he said that it would cost $2,500 to fix everything wrong with the car. Her ad said that it needed a new control arm and two tires, but it was on the donut--on the front. It had three nice rims and a donut.
It was also missing the front bumper and a fender, the headlight was damaged, the back door and back rearwell had damage, too.
The interior looked suprisingly good and since the tags expired in 2008 the engine should have had relatively low miles--if it ran, but she did not have the title or keys.

I got home and some kid knocked on the door. Imagine my disappointment that it wasn't the Publisher's Clearinghouse prize patrol. Some old guy in California won $5,000 a week "Forever."

I gave him something to do and $15 later I felt like he did ten minutes' worth of work.

Just can't find good help these days.

Do you have a link for that HCH? Here is a manual one: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...002&query=2004 honda civic hybrid

I saw the Civic CX that I shared. I pulled up my phone to see if it was the same one because there wasn't a For Sale sign.

It was sold.

The Acura owner reposted the car: https://facebook.com/marketplace/item/537934736847068/

She misspelled "Acura," I do not have any idea why she put "to" in the title, and I wonder when she took these pictures, the mechanic put it on blocks.
I do not have any idea how easily she could part it out, but she has a horse property.

2006 single-owner Prius for $1,600

It needs a battery, although it is unclear if it is dead or just dying. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/c...085940610.html

Last week I saw a 1st gen Prius driving by. Haven't seen one for years (that wasn't being parted out). Could have been 20 years old.
