* raises hand *
But you have to cut the 0-60 time in half.

No, you missed my point entirely. I'm only interested in woman who are their own people, independent enough that I'd be as likely to go for a ride in their car (whatever it is) as they'd be to ride in mine. If they're the sort who are interested in getting into my car as a prelude to getting into my wallet... Well, as I said, I'd prefer that sort of transaction to be cash up front.

There's a story about a millionaire who used the crappy company van for first dates. If they still wanted to go out with him for a second date... that's when he brought out the Ferrari.

The Leaf is a bigger car than the Versa, that far outperforms it, too. And if you put solar panels on your roof, you save another $3,500/100k miles plus you pay half what you do now for electricity.

I'm not saying that elecric cars are bad, in many ways electrics already are competative with their gas compeditors. Its just that asside from having a specialty rock crawler, or a dedicated commuter its not for me yet.

No, I'm saying MY < $35,000 sedan (stock) can go 0-60 almost 3 seconds faster than the Leaf. A modern ICE sedan isn't even considered a "performance" car unless it can go 0-60 in well under 6 seconds (usually high 4 to low 5 second range), so unless you cut that 0-60 time in half (something like the Tesla), you're not going to impress anybody. Dollar for dollar, ICE vehicles will still outperform EVs in almost every category other than economy.

lets qualify that a bit, shall we????
how about, Dollar for dollar, ICE vehicles will still outperform EV's in almost every category.
I bet Vetter would let an EV enter his motorcycle challenge. I'll bring a tow rope to tow the EV in when it runs out of juice.

I think we've had enough of this thread which is now more akin to my dad can beat up your dad than an intelligent discussion on electric vehicle efficiency as the title claims. Locked.
