So that's 5.5 years and 22 million. Remember the Moller (sp) air car, they've been doing the same thing since the early 1960S. Maybe they should gold plate nickels and pass them for $5 gold pieces.

If they EVER get close the Chinese will build it from scratch in 9 months. Just carry a tool box and spare parts and leave the passenger home.

Elio news this morning:
Fishy Investors, New Tenants Bad News for Elio Motors
Chinese builders have re-sold many vehicles. European VeloTaxi does not sell to the US in large amounts, if at all. On the other hand; Alibaba will sell Chinese copies of VeloTaxis. If delivery was simpler they could pop out psuedo Elios for the west coast.

At the rate Elio is going, the Chinese version will be on the market first and the Elio will be the "copy" if it ever does appear. :/

So was watching mystery's at the museum yesterday and saw the story of the "Dale". Immediately I thought of the Elio. So is Jenner by any chance on the board at Elio? This is a great story I can't believe there isn't a movie or whole TV series based on this. Murder, Transsexuals, And The Price Is Right: The Story Of The Dale Car Hoax

Yes, one of the upgrades for the P5 and forward is something like 2" added rear seat headroom. They reduced fuel tank capacity from 8 gal to 7, allowing the rear seat to drop down aome. I believe they've also reshape the roof line, for a bit more rear headroom from that also.
No word yet on exactly how much added headroom.
