If your company has money sunk into working with Elio, keeping that department running month to month and keeping your fingers crossed probably doesn't cost all that much compared to convincing your higher ups to write off the years they have sunk into it.

Shovel,
Any word on the volume of parts your company provided? Did it seem to be sufficient to generate a run of, for instance, 51 cars?

I did really had some hope for the Elio project to succeed, but it seems to have been ruined by the management.

Even the endless daily Elio advertisements seemed to end. Glad to read about any possible survival in the US. I bet Alibaba is licking its chops!

Even with all that "protectionist" ideas surrounding American manufacture of vehicles, it seems to be more focused on conventional 4-wheeled vehicles instead of non-conventional designs such as the Elio. Well, maybe with the right marketing and lobbying approaches, it can still succeed.
