I actually looked into renting a Ferrari for my brother's wedding a couple years ago (I didn't end up doing it). All the places in NYC I looked at rented by the mile, not hour; most were around $2000 for 25 miles. |

Very long article from Jalopnik today (might be the same one) reported a bleak picture. As time goes on pretty sad. It also said Paul Elio was making $250,000.00 at another job. Maybe pop out 10 Elio 3-wheelers from his home workshop in Phoenix; you never know! |

Maybe we will see shell kits come out of this. In the mean time I like the Arcimoto trike.

I suspect the shell panels could be adapted to a Vetter Freedom Machine for a motorcycle. The price would then be realistic and the mileage three times better. I suggest that our state legislatures could amend the laws so that a trike that meets FMVSS for roll over, windshield, and passenger restraint be exempt from helmet use.

I don't know how it works there in the U.S., but in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Colombia there is no helmet requirement for trikes as long as they have a roof and seat belts, without any rule concerning rollover.
