It's cool but not in demand with gas at $1.50 a gallon.

Everything is a huge waste of time and money, with a little variance to the degree.

I'm going to disagree with Xist on this one. Elio wan't any more of a waste of time and money than anything else. Yes, it was a scam. Investors and depositors got robbed legally, and that's about it.

We "wasted" time here discussing its viability as a vehicle, the way the company was "run" and other related bits. "Investors" gambled, customers got suckered, and the world kept moving.

In the meantime, other startups have actually produced efficient three wheeled vehicles. Tesla showed that you can build a successful company if you actually bother to produce something. And Elio has not.

Maybe Musk could build one as a Tesla I? He could tweet that the I is for "Iota" and people would be lining up to buy them. Because while Musk and Elio are both hustlers who sell dreams to investors, one of them actually uses the hype to accomplish things.

I still want one.

I was thinking I could save cash with a 3 wheel enclosed motorcycle but nope the state apparently reclassified these as auto cycles so you can pay 4x more registration and insurance

Thank you Scott Fitzgerald for this brilliant idea

Actually the proposed vehicle could be viable, even though the way the company was "run" is clearly a scam.

Viable where? It wouldn't be viable in the US.
