Ask what we can do to help make sure it goes into production soon?

Elio is a great car for the 45+ states that don't allow lane splitting. However in California a 2 wheeled fully enclosed E-tracer(mono-tracer) type of motorcycle will save you a lot of time (money) for most people who live in the city.
I think other states will eventually allow lane splitting which will increase demand for a two wheeled fully enclosed motorcycle.

The three wheeled format is actually useless for me. I commute by motorcycles when there is no snow on the roads so only need a car in the winter. The center rear wheel of the Elio would be plowing through the slush in the middle of the clear two tracks that the trucks make. The minimum track of any winter vehicle that I could use would have to span the inside width of a semi trailer's tires with all FOUR wheels.

I'm not holding my breath. But it has been fun to be teased while it lasted. His pricing is completely unrealistic. Unless the US government chips in $7,500 like they have been doing with the Nissan Leaf.

It doesn't seem so likely to happen, unless there was an all-electric or even an "extended-range electric" (actually serial-hybrid) version.

I went to see the Elio. Talked to a couple nice kids, er, representatives, who had been with the company for two weeks and knew nothing about fuel economy. There was a decent crowd though. It seems any passerby was drawn over for a look and the mall was fairly busy. The car is "going to be" this and going to be that, and going to have a different dash, and going to be 2 inches taller, and going to get 84 mpg and going to sell for $6,800. I mentioned that I didn't think he could hit that price point with air bags, a/c, audio, ect. He must have heard that question before and quickly asked me what I though it would cost as if taking a survey. I said add a 1 in front of the price.
.
In it's current state, which I doubt the one we were looking at even ran, it is only a little more production ready than some of the better projects I see coming out of someones back yard.

Where did you see the information of where and when this happened? I'm still hoping to see where the event here in MA is happening.
