Sure it's only one generation? The state of the art seems to be the Ray-Ban Wayfairer, but Meta has their tentacles in it.

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses | Meta Store
Meta's next generation of smart glasses, available in the iconic Ray-Ban frames with built-in camera, open-ear audio, and seamless social sharing.
My basic argument is that for every effort made to ruggedize against increased heat, and equal effort should be made to ruggedize against cold.

Because 'fossil' fuels can't hold the line forever. In the long run, Winter is always coming.

... can I assume you were responding to me without quotation?

I get $250 hardware for free, and creating a fake account is not a problem. I'm with you on not appreciating the tentacles. I'll probably watch Alita in 3D again. Wonder when the sequel drops?

In a similar vein, the Halo series is pretty decent. Looking forward to the 2nd season in Feb.

I don't have any idea what I'm on about, I just saw the news story. Having speakers in the temples of the glasses so there's nothing stuck in your ear seems cool.

The other thing I like, more my speed -- is Eyemuffs. https://www.eyemuffs.com/shop/category/shop/3565

There's a more expensive version with Bluetooth speakers.

news.yahoo.com: Carbon footprint of homegrown food five times greater than those grown conventionally
Quote:

The majority of the emissions do not come from the growing of the food themselves, the scientists say, but from the infrastructure needed to allow the food to be grown.
Carbon footprint of homegrown food [is not equal to] the infrastructure needed to allow the food to be grown ....and delivered.

Grow inedible things for the 'social benefits'? What are they smoking?

Hundreds of millions of dollars from the inflation reduction act are being paid out by the epa to anti American, political extremist groups.

I don't believe in or care for any politics. Of course she's saying the Democrats are supporting terrorism and anti-American groups. She's a Republican. And Democrats say the same things about Republicans.

I really don't think these two groups will ever come to an agreement until civil war breaks out and one side ends up exterminating the other.

Only if it can, for the first time in all of history, create a free thing.

I don't like the odds. It's as likely to be unlimited paper clips.
