Since this is as close as we have to a climate thread:

Make sure you have plenty of socks and blankets.

Always the same again. Global heating is not gonna last because there is going to be an ice age soon! Think positively!

Guess what; we had snow last weekend! First time in 2 years.
Didn't last long, it went up to 10 degrees Celsius already. As customary of late.
A winter with no snow at all was pretty much unthinkable in the past, but it happened last winter.

There's a winter event they call the 'Elfstedentocht', a 200 km ice skating marathon in Friesland over frozen lakes and canals through 11 towns. We had 15 of those last century and none in this. I doubt it will ever happen again. There needs to be 2-3 weeks of continuous frost for the ice to be strong and stable enough, and those conditions do not occur here anymore.

Phoenix absolutely destroyed previous summer records and is already beating winter records.

So, the worst of both worlds? Sweet!

And you are complaining about this?
Sounds like good news to me.

An Ice Age affects the poles. Everyone can just move to the equator.

A micronova obliterates whichever hemisphere is exposed at the time.

Next winter could go either way. Weather, as opposed to climate, is that way. Pretty much a normal January in this location.

A winter with snow was pretty much unthinkable in the Sahara.
