Well here are some updates.. the c pillars are formed and ready for finishing. Below you can see the side profile and the rear window area that will have plexiglass over it.. to finish it.

I went out and drove it around like this before attacking the one side panel.. the blind spot wasn't that bad.. really i only lost a few inches of the rear window..

Putting in side windows would be cool but virtually imposable with my skills and tools..

This is probably totally unhelpful, and definitely late, but have you considered making the hood hinge sideways or backwards? Such an arrangement would allow the hood to come closer to the windshield.

As an added bonus, there's probably a kit (and almost certainly a how-to if you don't mind modest fabrication) out there to change your hood hinges to some wacky direction.

This sort of popped into my head today while after being reminded of a guy on a Scion forum who has the hood on his xB opening sideways. It's really strange, but there is potential for a practical application here.

Failing that, you could always make a complete one-piece front end like you made that nose.

Yeah i debated making the hood open hinge side on the front.. but for now this will do fine.. but later I may just do that..

also I though I could just add a hinged flap that when the hood opened would just flip up to alow full opening of the hood.. and just leave space for teh wipers to pass by the hood edge..

Don't get me wrong here - I'm rooting for ya and admire the gonzo approach of letting this project flow along like an eruption of Vesuvius. I love following it but... am I the only one here willing to bet (a Guinness) that all of that foam ends up on the interstate when you hit 53 MPH?
