There were some fiberglass van conversion kits for Beetles here in Brazil too, but the front clip ruined that grey one.
Yeah I agree, the front trunk lid swaps often ruin the looks of the conversions.

I'm not a big fan of the Vandetta. But they look better with the stock front end. IMO

In reply to myself. What I don't like about the Vandetta is the scoops by the door frame. I would assume they are connected to the engine cooling system. But to me they look funky. The Sedan Delivery conversion doesn't have the same "trying to look sporty" look to them. Which IMO is a benefit to their cosmetics.
In fact if you imagine the above picture done up as the sedan delivery. That simple plain cosmetics is exactly how I would do mine. Stock old style front end, plain chrome wheels, solid color, etc.

The sedan delivery has better aerodynamics, but some provision for cooling is needed. The front end I don't mind is the Willys. I think the 'sharknose' may help airflow over the windshield, like a big bug deflector but for air.

This racer is all aero'd out below the headlights.

ChopStix — you need to be working on your Harley golf cart. I suggest a Lexus motor.

I'm trying to get rid of stuff, not repair it! -lol
If you only knew how much prime fodder that I have to get rid of.... I had a bunch of family members die, and all their stuff kept coming out to my house. I went from a nice garage for working on my hobbies, to having an indoor junk yard! -lol

But I am actually making progress in down sizing stuff. But its taking a silly long time.

Also they modified the rear fenders to not "cup" the air as much as beetles do. I read on Samba about how the racers drill holes below the beetle tail lights to let air out of the rear fenders. I would have never thought about drilling the fenders...

Here's a fun link to a youtube account that has a dozen videos on rebuilding VW air cooled engines. I saved a copy of them for future reference.

I just posted this in another thread. You asked about cutting Bajas.

That beetle pic is pretty awesome. But I like this one for a cruiser.

Oi, another Brazilian! -lol
