One of the posters in this thread - who's name escapes me- works at a topend muffler shop back east. This pic was on his company's webpage.
It's twin-rear turbos.
Three years ago when I was drag racing (insert old back in the days comment), we saw a few remote mount STS systems at the track and did not like the lag in power. They took to long to spin up. IMO, they are only good for high speed cruising, cases where the spools are already spun up.

Isn't the Fe? But yes. Yes I do.
P&G still makes me think Proctor and Gamble.

I can tell you from first hand experience.
1998 Dodge Ram 5.9 4x4 Ex Cab Long Bed Tow Pig (Fathers truck)

Removed stock supposed 3" exhaust.
Factory muffler was over 3' in length, it was heavy enough the factory put a pair of HANDLES on it!

Opened up outlet of Catalytic Converter to fit a real 3" pipe (Not stock 2.5")
Went to a Single Flowmaster 50 Series (Old man likes it quite) 3" In/Out
3" Mandrel bent pipe exiting basically in the stock location.

Highway driving 80 MPH on hilly northern NM road, he saw about a 1-2 MPG increase.

Here's the kicker!

With trailer (26' Hi-Lo trailer) he went from and average (at ~65 mph) of about 10 to 14! Sure it's only 4 MPG, but think about it percentage wise!

What was effectively changed? THE EXHAUST! No headers, no high flow cats, just a decent 'cat back' system.

you know I agree with you buddy and i've seen 2.5 MPG gains from a great catback but most of the guys here aren't gonna believe it because of the "testing methods" you used

I won't claim to have perfect testing conditions. Just from fill up to fill up.

I wonder how much gas is wasted by people 'testing' stuff.
Sure, they are getting good mileage while doing it... But there sure seem to be ALOT of tests going on.

I'm happy when I do something and notice I got more miles outa X gallons. Whatever the reason.
