I'm talking original msrp made by a US manufacturer. I do think other companies can do it overseas or in south America but I dont think Ford can or wants to do that.

Previous model year, unpopular color and options...
I got my Fit for less than they were advertising it for. Last year (previous generation as well), manual, base model and I even got my pick of black or dark blue. Luckily, that was exactly the one I wanted.

My neighbor for a few years had a Mini. I can't count the number of times a tow truck brought it back to his driveway, and how many weekends he spent tearing it apart and fixing something. I think they're cute cars, but I'd have to pass on ownership, regardless of the price.
