I think I would buy a new hood rather then sand , bondo and paint that nasty looking rusted hood.
Nice work on you Hubcaps / Pizza Pans / Smoothy caps !

My blender is a 45-year-old Oster my wife found in a yard sale for $3.00. She brought it home, took it apart, cleaned out all the gunk and squirted new grease here and there, put it back together. It's a beast. It weighs about 20 pounds!

Cut up and freeze a banana. Drop that into the blender with about a half-cup or more of fat-free half-and-half and a similar measure of cold, strong black coffee. You can add sugar but you might not need it.

You can substitute skim for half-and-half but the consistency will suffer. If you go with skim, add another frozen banana.

That IS the new hood. The new paint just flaked clean off.

You sand and paint it, you're gonna stand out in a crowd in Tennessee
Although I guess mine stands out a little bit too . . . .

Its called "patina"... and looks great. Leave the hood alone.

So how are those K-mart pizza pans attached to the wheels?

I thought it was a beer joke about homemade diesel.

I go looking for photos of rusted cars, and near all the photos of the rusted heaps looked great, so you got me there spacemanspif.
Rust is in the eye of the beholder , on the s-10 it looks messy to me, on a rat rod it looks real nice.

Sorry to diss your truck Elhigh, its got character !

I am pretty sure the Pizza pans are press fit hubcaps

They're hubcaps from Amazon. $80 and worth it to have the old homemade project off my mind.

After one of them pops off and gets all scuffed up, do this:
