Still don't know for sure. Even if I don't drive, I'd like to show up to meet everyone. Maybe Neil will bring a few of his car pieces .

Come on down!
The Franken-Jetta would be in Class 1m, the "m" for modified. Class 1 is for cars EPA rated up to 32 mpg combined. Un-modded cars with EPA up to 32 are in class 1.
Since Franken-Jetta getting nearly 2x the EPA estimate it should be a strong contender!

Looks like I won't be there to compete as I can't get Friday off and I'm not going to kill myself to make the 4+ hour trip before and after the Sat. rally. I am going to try to make it there on Sat. to spectate. 75% sure.
Bruce, I just got a 53mpg tank. Way ahead of last year .

For those who were at last year's event (on the Watkins Glen circuit), which day is best to attend as a spectator if you could only go one day?
Green Grand Prix 2012 Schedule
Saturday looks good since the cars will all be assembled after 12:30, so there will be a chance to view vehicles and mingle before the awards ceremony.

I'm in. 98 Chev S/10 2.2L 5spd manual. I've had the engine in and out 5 times in the last month attempting to fix a persistant oil leak in the rear main area. Think I finally got it licked. See you there.

Wow - five times! You get an award for persistence!
Sure hope that leak stays fixed...
See you there!
