Greets from Las Vegas

Hi all,

I just put a vacuum gauge in my Smart Fortwo, as well as the new cruise control. I am going to Bozeman, MT this weekend and see how well I do. Last time I drove up there, I did it under 60 bucks one way (900 miles). I hope to get better on this trip, as I've been reading lots of hints from your posts. The most important part of the car for hypermiling is my 'HyperMiler' decal sticker, so as to let others know why I'm so slow and why I'm behind this semi - and to remind me that there's a purpose behind it. This makes me not want to tromp the pedal so often.
Hope to someday see a Ecomodder sticker on the back someday.

The heat certainly helps with the MPG if you can stand to drive without A/C. I did it all Summer and saw well over 100% above EPA in slow speed city driving. Managed 150% over in my round trip commute yesterday.

Nice to see I'm not the only one in the city.

I was born a raised in Vegas and now live in Colorado. I do not miss the heat. Curious as to what the vacum gage does.
