I installed a circulating heater in my Civic (RIP). Ultimately not successful. Here's what happened.
I left a hose fitting poorly clamped. It did not hold under pressure and lost coolant. By the time I figured out what happened it was too late. Damage done.
Mine was a convection-based heater. Heated fluid should expand, causing it to rise in the hose, creating circulation. Very difficult to find a hose path routing that supports this.
Pumped circulation heaters are harder to find and more expensive. But that's what I'd look for if doing a circulating heater again.
