Here's a fluid tail on an old Ford. At least the easy half. The bottom half will be a bit tricky.

Nice work ...
I noticed the "lift" on my cap as well. ~18"(45cm) @60mph this was on V 1.1 =21lbs (V 1.2 got lift struts, this prevents any possible forgetting as they will openthe cap). I forgot to latch my cap. And noticed light in the center rear view.
? Has anyone else had an self opening experience =negative pressure(lift), or is thos a unique symptom caused by the over hanging duck tail?

*The body is designed for zero yaw and let the crosswind devil take the hindmost.

* in the spring we can file the report after Darco
*With my compound curves it takes better than 30°of yaw to cause an increase of frontal aera.

lift
Thanks gumby79, i think aeromods are addictive! Cant stop at one.
I always figured the lift was a result of the shape of cap and airflow together, i hadnt really thought about the tail contributing too much... i would like to extend the other three sides of the tail to match its length. Cover sides with clear plastic over the tail lights and a diffuser/ramp down below

You are in snow country as well. ? Have you noticed a significant reduction in the volume of snow accumulation on the tailgate? Just about every PU hear in Montana has the complete back (top of tailgate/campershell to bottom of bumper) covered with thick snow kicked up in the wake.
Every PU I passed was Wight out even the lights makes them hard to see, there head lights are a better indication of there presents than the covered tail lights.
On December 24 I drove 100mi in hevy snow @60-45mph and this is all the snow I accumulated, see pic. attached.
Notice the gap between the bed and bumper. This indicates to me air flow through the gap. And also the ball holes in the step. Have been kept open from air flow.

snow
I do find the cold weather interesting from an aero point of view, like you say with the snow build up and road grime on the rear, and also when it gets real cold like below minus 30 celcius (like zero f) the exhaust gasses last much longer, almost like a smoke trail in a windtunnel. One can finally see what the air is doing! It would be fun to research this stuff full time.
