The problem is that a) you really don't have a good enough vacuum (they really should be called 'sucker cleaners', but that wouldn't sell many); b) you aren't doing quantum: Vacuum energy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Close it when you drive, and open it when you're parked, drive one day a week. It's even a solar panel.
If you close it when you drive you can't get the "free energy" of the wind spinning the turbine
Though how fast does that deploy? I wonder if it could be used as an aero brake, or when EOCing...

Thankfully we've moved beyond the old, lame joke.

You can know everything I do by following the link. I suspect it's a college student's project. You can do a lot with 3D rendering. But I like the overlapping, highly optimized blades. Imagine a pet turtle with that strapped on as a rocket-powered back-pack. "Gamera is really neat..."

And I was thinking charge while parked, consume when driving. Isn't that what full electric cars do? With a light wind-week you could just take a pass past the gas station to taunt them; but with a monster supercapacitor on a trailer in the driveway, after a tornado you could go on vacation.

I had this idea in middle school. Put electrical parts of a generator in place of the gas engine in a front wheel drive car. then put the rear axle from a rwd car in and an electric motor bolted to the drive shaft coupling. wire them together with a variable resister connected to the accelerator

Thought it was a great idea until I realized that I had no way of getting going. But if I started at the top of a hill then I could roll down to make the generator turn and thereby power the electric motor.

but

Then you get to the bottom of the hill. SO here is the genius part, downshift. put the transaxle in 1st or 2nd. muhahaha generator is turning faster than the electric motor. I would be able to drive for ever.

I'd just have to remember to park at the top of a hill.

Then I realized stop signs exist.
