Even stranger is that question deducted more from my score than having driven intoxicated.

You forgot the word "often" in the question. I imagine their logic is that if you *often* feel that other people are too slow, then you *often* are too fast and so you *often* are too dangerous.
The question that hit my result most is about how many different vehicles I drove. I replied correctly that I almost never drove other vehicle than my own ones and I lost a lot of points. This is certainly unfair, but I understand that because I don't know what it's like to drive a truck or a motorcycle that I can't fully understand their risks and I may be a danger for them. In my recent experience, I remarked that motorcycles thank me more and more rarely when I let them overtake me. In fact it's because I move on the right side of the lane when there always is one or two cars between us and they don't see that I deliberately moved.
Anyway, this kind of test will never replace a good real life inspection of your driving habits, but they may make some people to think about their driving habits...
The only thing I find bad about that test is that it doesn't explain why some responses are bad in a safety point of view.
Denis.
PS : with the "penalty" my score is :
"You scored a 92% (A)! Your driving level is: very safe"
