Good for you! When I was in college, I did a 50/50 commute. I drove 7.5 miles to Fox Hills Mall, and then took the #6 Culver City bus for another 7.5 miles into UCLA. I could use that 45 minute bus ride to study/read/rest/sleep.
Today, if I tried to take the train in LA, I wouldn't feel safe using my PC. I would need some kind of low-rent super-old (worthless) PC that was low risk for theft.
