Proves 2 other things: Russians are crazy, and electric cars do not self destruct when wet
I thought the motor was sealed. Might corrupt the cooling/lube oil

The motor on the leaf appears to be sealed up really good. A lot of DC motors are open for cooling.

The other thing they can do is use route planning software to anticipate aggregate future trips.

A diesel powered charger, putting some for profit chargers at gas stations, renting a gas burner, turning the holidays into 2 week events would all would make more sense.

They tested mobile Tesla Super Charger station during Thanksgiving...
I assume they could do the same with Hurricanes (since they do not usually appear overnight). Other sudden disasters would be more reacting than planning...
But I do believe they could use the navigation program to help route people to these mobile or to less utilized chargers more automatically.

All taken together?
I like the Dannar 4.0
https://sundbergferar.com/portfolio/...wer-station-2/
Quote:
The DANNAR 4.00 accommodates all standard Caterpillar®, Bobcat®or John Deere®attachments and is submersible in up to four feet of water. The DANNAR carries Type I, II and III hydraulic tool circuits, is four-wheel drive and has four-wheel, multi-mode steering.
In the open platform configuration, the DANNAR 4.00 can provide up to a half Megawatt of energy storage in its high-capacity BMW lithium ion battery packs. An optional 60 kW Cummins tier four generator can also provide 600 kWh of continuous export power and battery recharging. Solar charging stations can be integrated with the DANNAR 4.00 to provide extended off-grid energy independence and energy resilience.

Imagine a Beowolf cluster road train of these.

Hmm, I want to see floating generators. Could have come in handy at Fukushima.
