I thought it was a nice touch, and an excellent video.

Only aero mods i have is a 50% grill block and moon disk's. the rest is pure hypermile skills. what i see most people do is that they try different things all at one time. the problem with this is that if you dont see good results. Then you dont know what you are doing wrong. This are the things I did.
Learn your route first. figure out what lane is the less confused. On my route I found that the second lane is the best. the far right lane is to busy with people getting off the highway and on the highway. at these enterance and exits be ready for merging traffic into your lane. so leave plenty of space for them and you will not have to use any breaks. the worst case you have to push the clutch is and roll a bit.
Second try one thing at a time and be the most consistent you can be. this way you will see what the gains/losses will be. I fill up every friday, same time, same pump. the clerk will ask me every week what my MPG was. this takes time i know but is pays off in the long run. you can look at my full log and see.
Another good thing that helps is find an active person on here to get into a friendly competition with. try to best each other.

Apologies for this first video effort. It's too long, unedited, and pointing to the wrong place, but it does show you how to pulse & glide to 60 mpg during a 10 mile drive.

I posted this video a good while ago so my tactics have changed slightly since then but if people are interested in hypermiling and have no idea what it is or where to start I always point them towards this. For most of you here it'll be a pretty basic overview with no real specific advice.

Thats a great video, actually I think its better being real time. I do the same but not killing the engine and bump starting each time. The clutch on my car is supposed to be marginal (although an uprated part was specified a while ago) so I don't risk it.
brekko - yours comes up early on Google video searches for hypermiling as I'm sure you know.

Your car is about the greenest thing I have seen, until A-junior got these shoes

Thanks, Arragonis. Toyota only made 2200 xBs in that Envy Green color. I may reshoot the video, as my voice dropped off, and there seemed to be an audio feedback problem when I was inside the car. I want to shorten the introduction video, and turn on the instrumentation lights for better visibility.
