Nice job Metro! I made a small one out of clay and glazed it when I was a teenager. Yours is better.
Don't know if I ever mentioned it but I used to own a '71 that I did the California style hot rod treatment to. I also dropped in a 2 litre fire breather in it. Waaaaay too much fun. Can you guess what colour it was? They are super fun to drive but I'm biased. Just remember... drum brakes... but a good ecomodder never carries extra momentum anyway.

Probably red? The best color from 1971 is IMHO Shantung Gold.
I've got a zero-miles stroker 1776 on the bench, but it would probably cost $1K to get it installed (needs 1 5/8" exhaust, etc.).

Oh wow, I forgot about drum brakes. My first car was a spacetime-warping GM behemoth from the 60's with 4 drums!

I would just like to point out that this technique could be used to test aerodynamic performance of shapes?
Just throwing it out there. Pile snow on my 20 foot flatbed. Shape it. Drive it, and see the erosion patterns?

T+2.5 weeks and it's almost done for...
You might still be able to recognize what it once was on the starboard side (NE exposure).
But it's really warming up this week. Maple sap's running! |
