Interesting... I see they used a Chevy Cruze for testing. I might have to get a subscription and check out the article.

Europe rates all their tires, is there any good source of this info that could be applied to the same US branded tire?

Were there any scores that can be compared between tire categories? I know most people looking primarily at LRR tires don't really care which "type" of all season tire they get, they're most interested in the efficiency.

Also, I would be interested in knowing how much of a hit you take when going to the Xi3 from a good LRR A/S tire. The Xi3 is what I was looking into for winter tires next year based on a previously good experience with the Xi2 on my previous car.

I'm glad to see some current information from a fairly independent source.

Co worker gave me his copy, unless there's more online that only subscribers can get to I wouldn't waste my money. Kind of surpised that the Mich winter beat Nokina, but they didn't give enough info to know if they even tested them.

Agreed that there is something odd about the list. I think it might be that they wanted to balance LRR with another value they called "safety" or something. In other words, these ratings are not strictly about LRR, which is why I thought it "moderately" useful when I initially posted the link. I don't mind their concern, but I wish they had made two lists then: one with the straight LRR capacity and other adjusted for their opinion of what is the proper balance of LRR and braking. I'd like to judge for myself.
