Installed full moons and new Cooper CS5's today
YUM!
after a failed attempt to turn some plastic hubcaps into aero caps,
i broke down and bought these:
waited until i got the CS5's mounted then put them all on today.
beginning mileage on new tires 276,732.

the 1st is from a safari park in La. one of the longhorn cattle there. that's food in it's mouth. i don't think it has any top teeth.
from hubcaps_plus. not flimsy as far as i can tell. this is the first set to own though. mount is real tight. thought i dented the first one i tried to put on but i didn't.

How many years/miles till you lost them?
My Moon caps are going on 2.5 years, ~25,000 miles. No problems.

I never recorded anything.
They were noisy from day one,so I knew they were deforming along with the wheels.
Texas and the Interstate maintenance crews haven't figured out smooth road surfaces yet.I suspect that pot holes are the culprit.
I had screw-on aluminum MOONs on the CRX and they flexed as well, eventually hogging out the attachment holes. But I never lost any of those.
I gave up on the stainless steel copies for the T-100 and went with 1970s GM stainless knock-on covers. They're a bugger to get installed but don't make a peep and stay 'glued' to the rims.
Perhaps some steel wheels are more robust than ones I've lived with. All of mine deform as they roll, stressing the covers.
Glad you're having better service than I.

well, to be honest, i lost one on the way to work this morning. it was the last one i put on so i thought it was tight. know it was on when i left in the morn and when i got to work i walked behind the car, not seeing if it was there. when i got off it was gone. will get a replacement because i don't want to give up after one day.

The springs are what fail, due to rust. I lost mine after a couple of years. There is still no good solution for this. And the domes are not quite as good as flat(ter) covers, aerodynamically.
