Boy, that 1961 Pontiac XP-758 Scorpion Concept looks a lot like the 1963 Corvette Stingray. Round the corners a bit and its a match.

LeanBurn -- That's GM's mid-60s look. Round it a bit more and you have the '67 Impala,—or my personal favorite—the 2nd generation Corvair Monza coupe and convertible. The front end's W-shape more resembles the Buick Riviera.
I like the stainless steel front wheel-well and rocker.

That car by Mike Vetter is not nearly as "good" as it might first seem. It has a "re-expansion" of the width for the rear wheels. The front is fine, the back not so much.

I'm reminded, 1200 posts later, that is the very car this whole thread began with. (It's in the title)
I like the flat spoiler on the half-round post that contains the taillights, but I'd also like to see one made into an El Camino. Or, leave the taillights and spoiler and make it a reverse trike.
