What might have been.... Interesting:

Ghia has a long history of designing and/or building interesting cars for the Ford family, including Lincoln. They built the Lincoln Futura in 1955, which Adam West famously later painted black so he could use it to fight crime.
George Barris gets cut right out of the picture. The Batmobile and the Ala Kart were the only good things he did after his brother Sam passed.

With a few slight modifications (remove those protective perimeter bars) this looks fairly aerodynamic.

I'm sure this has been posted before, just never seen a color photo of it before personally.

Below, not exactly street legal - but very cool.

This one has potential, cover up those spokes, re-rout the exhaust pipes....etc.

If nothing else, a low "A" in the CdA calculation, although the rolling resistance of that rear tire may negate it all.

Other images in that link/page go into the un-aerodynamic thread.

How's everyone's German?

Random TRANSPORTATION pictures - Page 1747 - Pelican Parts Technical BBS

I'm just going to float this out there, any design which gets the radiator out of the front of the car is a step in the right direction, aerodynamically speaking.

Die Mercedes-Benz Heckmotor-Fahrzeuge der 1930er Jahre - Initiative Kulturgut Mobilität

I cannot read German, but this has got to be air-cooled.
