Wow, the Corsair has a lot in common with the Schlörwagen: general shape, center driver, rear engine. And the production Corsair had little to do with this concept; save the rear engine...

Corvair ? The only Corsair I can think of is this Ford, which introduced the world to the benefits and delights of the V4 engine...

I was wondering about this one, may have been here before so apologies. Opel GT2.
Which led to the Silver Aero concept later, which is based on a Sportshatch - below :
note the wheel covers and modified grill shape, below:
As it is today, note no wheel covers.
Similar to the Avion.
And on a different budget, the Ferrari 512TS Modulo
And the Aston Bulldog

I can only think that they forgot to measure the wheels before dropping the body onto the chassis. Giseppi from the workshop arrived with the an angle grinder and...
Never seen it in a movie, are you confusing it with the Stratos Zero, or the THX1138 cars?
