Very heavy and no outward visibility, from what I hear. I really like the fenders on these:

Shown at Toyko by Ken Okuyama. I'm not sure about the Gulf livery with the red interior, but the fender blisters remind me of the D-type Jaguar, the windsplits on the Mercedes 300SL and the Mako Shark Corvettes. Not bad company and it still looks contemporary, especially the upside-down echoes at the rocker panel—like that 0.17Cd Matra from the same era.

I built the 'Custom Cabover' so I could enter a truck Mark Gustavsons' Custom Clinic Contest in Scale Auto. It actually did better than I expected, and earned a 7th Place overall, and a picture in the magazine, with Mark calling the design "well integrated".

The Teardrop Camping Trailer was inspired by a fellow SSR owner who had a typical teardrop trailer that was painted to match his truck. I took the theme one step further and crafted my trailer from another SSR body.

Looks like not enough clearance between tractor can and bottom front of trailer.

I sort of remember that image too.

Hello forum friends,

I need to tell you how this build started. A friend I met on the Buick forum collects old interesting photo's. He knows that I am a maker/builder, and suggested that after I completed the 1945 Buick parade float that I was building, that this piece would be cool.

Within his collection he had a picture of a 1941 rendering that an unknown artist produced, an Art Deco vision of the future of car hauling. The 1st. picture shows this rendering, it is the one on the LEFT, black & white.

From this picture and without plans I spent over 200 hours producing it. It is 26" long. I made two versions of the trailer, pic #1 shows both, the left one is like the rendering. I designed the one on the right, it will be OPEN on one side only. It will hold 2, 1-24 scale cars.
