It's interesting that Morelli's work was published in 2000, which postdates the concept car.

GT-R LM Nismo
Developed for the Le Mans Prototype race. Featured regenerative brake and a front mid-engine layout, the latter of which wasn't featured on any other LM car at the time.
3 cars raced once, from the back of the grid, after failing to come within 110% of the pole position car's time.
But boy, ain't she pretty.
