There's an interesting Porsche 917 story here: The loophole Porsche racecar Ferrari couldn't touch!?t=1026 to t=1217

Duct tape and bending sheet aluminum around bollards.

PORSCHE 917

The 917 (kurz-heck) was Cd 0.44, and 210-mph, @ 560-hp.
The 917 ( lang-heck) was Cd 0.33, and 236-mph, @ 560-hp.
The shorter race courses did not require the Cd of the (lang-heck), which was specifically for the Mulsanne Straight @ LeMans, top speed, and fuel management.

Hmm, often wondered how you would buy a Mike Vetter EVT, 40mpg is oddly identical to what the cobalt gets stock

Aerodynamically, the Cobalt has very little going for it.

So, body swap it onto a Prius chassis.

I remember that one. I wonder if it ever got wheels and paint.

Best feature [IMHO] is the body faired into the engine shrouding. Least best is the bubble top. I'd prefer something more like this:

With maybe a tinted Plexiglass strip about 4" high between the mirrors.

No other info on it, but definitely giving me that EV-1 rear vibe.

Methinks Morelli.

I told my son about this documentary and he'd already seen it. The Cannonball Run Countach: Supercar Legend | Full Documentary It's well over an hour and includes black&white pictures of the birdcage frame and panel-beating the aluminum skin.

The striking freatures IMHO are the front bumper -- like an off-road nerf bar with drivubg lights incorporated in the standoffs -- and the tailpipes. The row of twelve form the roof of a diffuser with active input to accelerate the airflow.
