It probably doesn't matter what it is. The bus has been thoroughly wrecked, aerodynamically.

The wide body adds frontal area. but the lower valance appears much improved. The only things I question are the outside mirrors, the ducktail on the roof and no half-tonneau.

The winglet in front of the rear wheel appears to be becoming astandard feature:

Converted by Peels of Kensington to be a support and tow car.

Fun story: the owner, Douglas Hull used it to tow Patrick Lindsey’s ERA single seaters to and from racing events. Hull himself entered a Tholt-y-Will hillclimb on the Isle of Man with the tow Jag, where he achieved a considerably better time than Patrick Lindsey driving his ERA, leading to the famous remark from Lindsey: "My God, I got beaten by my Tow Car!"

Lazy as I am, and without personally researching the car, do you recall them mentioning a Cd?
The IVE shares similarity with Eindhoven University's 2017, Stella VIE, of which all Eindhoven would volunteer was that, it's drag was 'below' Cd 0.137 ( Ford Probe-V, GM EV1 LSR, SolarWorld GT ).

It needed to be able to tow the M2-F1 on Rogers Dry Lakebed next to NASA's Flight Research Center (FRC) now named Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC) at a minimum speed of 100 miles per hour. To do that, it had to handle the 400-pound pull of the M2-F1. Walter "Whitey" Whiteside, who was working in the Flight Operations Division, was a dirt-bike rider and hot-rodder. Together with Boyden "Bud" Bearce in the Procurement and Supply Branch acquired the Pontiac Catalina convertible with the largest engine available and then sent it to Bill Straup's hot-rod shop near Long Beach for modification. With a special gearbox and racing slicks, the Pontiac could tow the 1,000-pound M2-F1 110 miles per hour in 30 seconds.
