The 3-wheel car of his mentioned in the article I presume, with the rear wheel steering a said mistake. Although, looking closer this one looks like the front wheels do the steering. Jean Andreau did two 3-wheel cars?

The 1937 Dubonet Hispano-Suiza H-6C 'Xenia' was designed by Jean Andreau and constructed by Jacques Saoutchick. This automobile has futuristic features such as a wraparound windshield (not seen on production American cars until 1953) and acrylic plastic flip-up gullwing side windows. The dramatically tapered fastback was crowned with a trapezoidal rear window. Exhaust tips were shaped to match the taillights. This large car rode on a 132 inch wheelbase and is now valued at $5 million.

"The 3-wheel car of his mentioned in the article I presume, with the rear wheel steering a said mistake."
Rear wheel steering is not particularly problematic, especially on a tadpole trike. With four wheels and equal axle length, it is possible to get trapped against a curb, unable to steer away from it, but even a slightly shorter rear track fixes that. The permanent problem is that it takes longer to respond, having to yaw the whole vehicle to steer the front wheels, but that is less than the time needed for a two wheeler to lean in before turning. The proper steering geometry is the same as a regular car running in reverse, as this causes self-centering in a steady turn. The tendency for the wheels to flip right around like shopping cart casters is defeated by a simple damper.

If I had all the time and money in the world I would love to experiment with the rear wheel steering and also the type of 4-wheel cars where the rear wheels steer in addition to the front.

A quote from post #3999 on this page.

Quote:
Then it was experimenting with a 3 wheel car fully faired front-wheel drive and direction on the single rear wheel; he quickly recognized his mistake in this area.
I'm pretty sure the author was quoting another article he read, although he was good at crediting other sources.

I do think that the 3-wheel steering "experiment" was different than the 3-wheel production car of his.

I find thought experiments far cheaper, and well worth it to direct specific features. Four wheel steering is seldom worth doing. You usually just yaw the vehicle to steer the back - having them steer as well is pretty redundant most of the time. The Honda all-mechanical system was interesting. At first, the rear wheels steered in the same direction as the fronts, but less. This would let you do a lane change with less time forcing the car to yaw. Turning the steering farther sent the back wheels the other way, to achieve a tighter turning radius for parking.
