Mel Gibson drove it in Mad Max movies.
First year was 1960 don't remember when it stopped in the US. Early seventies...

Right on Darcane!
In America, it officially ended as a '70 1/2 model subname for a Fairlane that had what we call the '70/71 Torino look. Absolute basement model w cheap looking electric shaver looking grille! Not a nice way to end the name.
The sister was the Mustang. The cousin was the Mercury Comet.
3yrs ago, I watched a very hot '65 Falcon run in the Portland Historic Races.
It ran VERY strong, always near the lead amongst Mustangs, and early Camaro's!
Your show Darcane! ( my 1st car: ;67 Chevelle was about the color of that Saab)

The window line and overall shape suggests AMC Pacer, maybe a styling buck or prototype ?
But the wheels seem to scream Toyota to me for some reason.
