Drawing a blank from me.

Looks more streamlined than most from that era, and is that a clamshell hood? I'd guess some manufacturer that has had some experience with airplanes as well.

Yup, but it's easy to see the Cramer Comet was built on the Le Sabre base.

While clearly influenced by the Le Sabre, both are unique cars and only one of each exists.

I was leaning towards Packard too, in particular one the later 'Packard' Studebakers. Volvo could do a lot worse than to copy 1950's Studebaker - they were innovative cars.
