Hi BadDog98. I changed it to PDF since some individuals didn't have MS Office or OpenOffice. But fear not, XLS version is attached. I guess we could add this to the Wiki along with the chargemode stuff I have coming.

Do you know that this item 863-NTD4858N-1G has been discontinued, according to Mouser;

"End of Life: Scheduled for obsolescence and will be discontinued by the supplier."

if viewed in your project list.

Also, can I replace this one 140-50N2-180J-RC (Backordered) with any other? Guess I should be able to with 140-500N5-180J-RC

Also, would be nice to make some sort of delay (2-3 cek) for displaying the mAMPs and bAMPs during driving, due to the fact that human eyes cannot adjust to changing numbers that fast

I know someone would say "YOUR EYES WILL ADJUST" as in "Alvin and the Chipmunks" where Ian Hawke was given Simon a new pair of glasses ...

Thank you, good work!!!

Youri,
The alternate part you show is 5mm spacing vs 2.5mm. Instead use 140-50N2-180J-TB-RC. It's the same as original but will be on a paper strip (ammo pack).

For 863-NTD4858N-1G use 863-NTD4904N-1G. Origial was used since I had quite a few on hand from old projects. They really are overkill, but will run cool and are cheap as far as power MOSFETS go.

You can slow down display of mAmps and bAmps (if from cougar serial message) by changing your RTD-PERIOD time in the controller to something slower. I use 200ms, but you can use 500ms or 1000ms if you like the slow update. If your bAmps is from a hall sensor, then things get tough. The display update is in the same main loop as all the other A2D sampling, averaging and other calculations. To slow it down with a simple delay routine would slow down everything else. It can be done with a counter specific to the display portion, but not something I'd have time for right now. Will keep it in mind for future firmware as an option.

Youri,
I figured I'd take a quick look and see how involved the display refresh delay would be, and it's really very simple. Added 5 lines of code and a refresh rate constant you need to specify. The constant specifies multiples of main loop passes before it will go into the display routine. I already threw it into firmware 1.3 and will try it out over the next couple of days.

Chris,
Thanks for the BOM in XLS Format. PDF's do make more sense. They look good and almost always print as expected. I did fine out using the full blown Acrobat in place of the just the reader opens many more options. Keep up the good work. your latest addition looks fantastic. The Hits Just Keep Coming.
Later, Mark

Your welcome
The display refresh option was probably a good thing to add due to everyone's taste when it comes to digital displays. I had regular panel meters installed earlier and I felt their update rate was too slow for my liking. I like this better and kind of filter out all but the most significant digits in my mind when viewing.

Good luck with your build

Youri,
Sorry to hear that but not surprised. I think we've created their shortage

Try getting it from 411techsystems. It's listed in the BOM. I believe others had success with that company.

Yeah I think I got mine at 411Tech. I'll have to wait until I get home to verify. I ordered the blue display so as not to clash with the stereo.

Hey Chris! Isn't the EV-ent this weekend? What's the weather supposed to be like? I may drive down.

Yep! Saturday 10:00-3:00 at Macungie Memorial Park. Suppose to be sunny and in the 70's. I'll be there but without my conversion
It passed the enhanced PA inspection 2-1/2 weeks ago, but had to submit paperwork to DOT and am still waiting for my modified vehicle registration and license plate. My luck I'll get them next week.

Adam's going to be there with his display of the 1000amp Open source controller and 6kW charger. Should be a great show and I plan to take lots of pics.

-Chris
