Well as a result of a cancellation today, I think our event average just went up a bit.

Dan Dobbins, with the '62 Studebaker just opted out. He decided to race it at our autocross the following weekend and didn't want to do two trips up here from Long Island on back to back weekends.

Update on my '93 Sentra. It's been in storage for about 14 months. Now that I've gotten it out again, I've remembered why I put it away - it needed work! Body work that is. At a time when I should be checking the oxygen sensor operation and tuning it up, this is what I'm hurrying to get done now:

Hi,

I was hoping to be able to attend (as a spectator), but I have a long meeting on Saturday (9-2) and so driving out there in the late afternoon and evening would not be as likely as if I could leave earlier.

Spectator? Nonsense. Bring the Scion, you'll post your best MPG ever. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see what your car is capable of.

Besides, what else are you going to do for three hours while we drive slowly in a circle?

Hi guys,

The time is almost here! I am so glad I didn't schedule it for this weekend as it is an all day soaker here today. I'll be driving the entire course again on Monday afternoon and will be writing the final route instructions. I will have them printed out for you all and will hand them out to you all at the driver's meeting. I'll let everyone know if there are any "tweaks" needed from the tentative course all drivers have been sent via email.

Neil, sorry to hear you won't be coming out.

Rusty, Hobbit is looking for a room share situation. He sent a note earlier this week to my economy run driver's email list. I just noticed that I don't have an email address for you. Can you send me a note please to mikek [ at) icerace [ dot) com?

Thanks,

Mike
