Guys check the current prices because the ones I pasted earlier were from peak vacation season in August. Might be cheaper now......

We'll all be stopping at the halfway point this time around. I have alotted time in the shedule to do so. There will be a checkpoint official [our friend Lug Nut] there to record your mileage. And yes please take lots of pics.
I'll send all updated info out, including the final tweaked edition of the Google mapping, and the official route instructions to the list tomorrow night.
Mike
P.S. Thanks for the early weather report.

I would completely fail at this economy run thing, but I kinda wish I could go so I could see what it's like and meet all you guys up here in the Northeast. I'm kinda between jobs at the moment, so I don't know if I can make it up there. Maybe if someone was coming from CT and I could carpool...

Will,
I honestly had planned to sleep in my car. I have good winter camping gear, and it's not even going to be below freezing this weekend.
But if we are at least 3 I'd be willing to split a room. I don't mind the hotel, as long as it's a clean and cheap place. I often use priceline to get my rooms. We could bid on a two star in Johsntown and would get the Microtel or the Holiday Inn pretty cheap I'm sure. Anyone else uses priceline? If we decide to go that route I can book it.
I don't mind sleeping on the floor either, I got good camping gear so I'm comfortable sleeping pretty much anywhere.
Do we meet for dinner some place Saturday? I liked the moon and river cafe last time around but I'm open to other suggestions.

Wow! Considering Chang's last AMEC event...I imagine his CRX may magically float above the course this time around! This will be something to see...please take many, many pics! Wonder if he will be riding on Nokians again this time around...guessing the answer is yes.
Can't wait to see pics...sorry I can't make this one but anxious for photos, reports, stats, etc!!!
Good luck to all!

The Insight's been on the road for two days now. Today it gets its LRR Potenzas installed, which means it'll be almost as fuel efficient as when it rolled off the assembly line. That's pretty darned efficient, but how will it compare to a streamlined CRX-HF with a killswitch and LRRs?

Yeah, we're all roughnecks, lets just camp it....I've got to do something about my greasy trunk though
I intend to go to that same restaurant for dinner (Moon and River Cafe 115 S Ferry St Schenectady). I will arbitrarily choose 6pm again (this is by all means flexible). I don't know how to get in touch with the other folks, but I'd like to invite Hobbit, Chang, the Saab guys, et al who don't post here. Mike, if you could give your list these details I'd appreciate it. It's kind of a small place so 8 people seems like a good max number. For all I know Darin, Ben, and Matt are not coming, so we've got myself, Robert, Martin, and Mike from the EM crew?

It looks like it's gonna be a pretty flat course, except near the 20 where we have a couple hundred feet of elevation both ways. Is there a stop on the 162 crossing the 20? That would be too bad since it's at the bottom of a big descent.
On the 30, from county road 127 all the way to bulls head road, it looks like it's gonna be a nice 4 miles eoc ride.
