I found this site completely by accident: https://www.soldbyair.com
They have drone operators post videos all over the country, including at least one in my area, but that one was a bunch of annoying short clips. I just wanted one video.
People keep joining Kevin's discord asking if 3d scanning houses would work in their area.
They don't specify their area or tell us about it, but apparently multiple people are interested in earning hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

This guy (Kevin Paffrath) has a chance of becoming governor
Steven Colbert mentioned a poll referred to here: Who the heck is Kevin Paffrath? Recall might make him governor. Kevin is polling higher than any of the 50 or so candidates by 4 points, although he has raised 1/15th as much as the leading republican.
He offered to donate a million of his own dollars to a charity of Newsom's choice if he agreed to a live 2-hour debate.
Kevin has a random and eclectic platform with weird ideas that will alternately appeal to republicans, democrats, and meth heads.
I miss when politics were boring!

I miss when politics wasn't against terms of service. Back when the first rule of *s*n*t was you don't talk about *s*n*t.
So.... why do you give any credence to what Steven Colbert says? Versus for instance what Scott Adams said today about the leading non-Democrat candidate.

Why do I trust the Orange County Register? Why wouldn't I?
Quote:
A few days ago, centrist Democrat Kevin Paffrath was just another name on the 46-candidate list. But a poll released Wednesday by SurveyUSA not only showed a slim majority of voters willing to recall Newsom, it also showed 29-year-old Paffrath as the No. 1 contender to replace him — beating everybody in the field, including a 4-point lead over top-ranked GOP candidate, talk show host Larry Elder.
|
That link doesn't actually go to the SurveyUSA results, it goes to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Why wouldn't I trust them?
Quote:
The leader among them is a Democrat, Kevin Paffrath, a Southern California real estate broker and YouTube sensation who collected 27 percent support.
Republican and conservative talk radio host Larry Elder received the next-highest level of support in the poll, with 23 percent.

Majority of likely voters would remove Newsom from governor’s office, poll finds

Stephen Colbert wants you to see this one particular survey?
You care about California? My 13-window walk-through Kombi had a Don't Californicate Oregon bumper sticker in the 1970s. Like Afghanistan, they've chosen their fate.... [perhaps] unwisely.
As far as surveys are concerned, I take it that Rasmussen is the most reliable so I went to www.rasmussenreports.com, but I didn't find the question [easily]. What I did find concerns me www.rasmussenreports.com: Americans Overwhelmingly Reject Oregon’s New Education Law
12% of Americans think zeroing out graduation requirements is a gud idear.
What I'd like to see is a debate between Kristi Noem and Tulsi Gabbard.

Do you have any experience for the OCR? Used to be John Birch on steroids. Remember the OC elects staunch conservatives

Yes, it is always important to know the political bend of a news source.
A conservative paper is going to show polls where Newsom is recalled and a liberal paper is likely to show polls where he survives*. I find it better just to go to site that keeps track of all the polls and links them so you investigate further. Something like: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...ll/california/
* This one of the reasons why I read the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. There opinion columns will have completely opposite views on just about any topic

Nate Silver's 538 seems seems legit; even though it in servitude to The Mouse.
There're news and opinion (or half-pinion) sources and then there are aggregators. The original (and still best for moderation) aggregator is Slashdot.org.
But there exist sites like www.allsides.com/unbiased-balanced-news The same stories are compared and contrasted from the Left, Center and Right.
An article on aggregators that mentions neither: themeisle.com: 7 Great News Aggregator Websites You Should Check Out (Plus How to Build Your Own). But they do tell you how to roll your own with Blogspot.

Works for me, but I thought the liberal side was better represented by the Washington Post.

It goes back to when I was travelling internationally a lot and the papers available on airplanes and hotels.
I also read the Financial Times, BBC, The Globe, and Der Spiegel among others but there are only so many papers I have time to read and I'm willing to pay for.
