So, I was curious... I haven't yet seen anyone modify the hood of their metro, but it seems like a natural.
Something like this but slippier:

the benefits:
1. Exhaust engine heat over the windshield through the gap. Might compensate for a blocked grill.
2.a) Aerodynamically slippier? might help smooth air flow over the windshield
b) Also takes the windshield wipers out of the equation
Any examples? Whaddya think?

ignore the bulge and the nonfunctional intake and look at the hood/windshield intersection. See any wipers? nicely hidden away. Dunno how yould do it though...
