Tango Charlie, Your insight is included in that offer.

Show me a camo fender or two guys/gals.

Sven, start recording your miles again. Surely you have driven it since May.
For a Prius one might instead opt for a vinyl wrap... you know, for resale value. It'll also take a lot more than four cans to properly paint it! (Also be warned that spray paint doesn't take well to duct tape)

The Probe was parked from May until last Sunday so I literally didn't drive it (drove the Rabbit all summer). Should be filling up in about 200 miles.

I agree. I painted some stuff on my car using regular ol' waterbased acrylic art paint . It's been there for around a year and a half now. No signs of fading or degradation .
The car only gets a bath when it rains, but I was still surprised at the durability of what i thought would wash away in a matter of days.

The best part is that it's also non toxic and cheap to boot.

I don't care for the purple kicked out wheels on this car, but I totally love the airbrushed weathered look on the fenders.
It's like a huge model car that you get to drive every day.

This is where the look completely falls apart :

I know just how to fix that wheel - Photoshop in a nice wheel cover !

This one reminds me of the 'dazzle' theme

This one is a little more subtle:

I'm taking their word for it that it is a faux patina.

Well, not every day, since it has temporary plates (red stripe)

How much do you think that paint job/vinyl cost? I've been thinking about doing some little dioramas of "forgotten" cars rotting away- something quite like this, but in nature.

How about a vertical stabilizer?

I've always thought that would make a boattail more fun.
