Same here. I would rather read his column than watch the same info he presents in a video.
Though you have to give him credit: his formula & style have built him a million-strong YouTube following, and he's now making a very healthy living from it.

Our TOTL trim gets 15s and a front sway bar. Does handle a bit tidier than the base model.
Have the rare opportunity to do back-to-back-to-back instrumented performance testing of both stock trims versus a modified one sometime in the next month or so. Will probably share the results on the Mirage forum if I'm allowed. Fuel economy won't be on the table, however. The kind of modifications we're making won't be good for that.

I recall when his audience (basically, uh, us) was much smaller.
The guy does have talent.

My inlaws have a Suzuki Ignis, again for easy access.
My brother-in-law bought a Qashquai for much the same reasons; added to that, he drives a lot and the higher position means better visibility (active and passive).
All of them used to drive estate cars.
None have any off-road aspirations, real nor pretend.

The point is: most of the soft-roaders are basically a minivan on steroids. That's why I (and many others) consider quite pointless that someone would get a HR-V instead of a Fit for example. While the Fit is indeed quite roomy, the HR-V even though it's based on the same platform felt somewhat less roomy.

1M views! Temptation!
Amazingly, Demuro's Mirage rant now has over 1 million views and 14,304 Comments.

Yet despite the common wisdom that this is the WORST CAR YOU CAN BUY(!), the thought crossed my mind just last week that maybe it's time to think about selling off the Suzukiclone fleet. (First time I've had that thought in a dozen years.)
This specific car tempts me:
2014 base model (which in Canada means no A/C ... no care), manual trans, only 46k km (26k miles), for sale at a little used car dealership in Ottawa.
Asking $4500. They probably picked it up at auction for about $3k.
If I sold all the Suzukiclones, I could probably break even.
$4500 is the same price I paid for the Firefly in 2005. It was 7 years old, but it only had 2k kms / 1200 miles on it. No warranty either.
