More aero mods to the Fiesta...

Using some more Kydex, I fabbed up a chin spoiler extension...

4" tall, 1.75" extension lower...



Used Anchor-Nuts riveted to it, and thru-holes in the original chin spoiler to run the hardware...



Stock...



With extension...



And on the car...



Here you can see my lower grill block as well...the winter edition!



Next, some extension to deflect more air around the front wheels...

Tomorrow, the rear wheel deflectors go on!

Nice, I have a 2011 Fiesta and used coroplast screwed right over then entire stock air dam for a 2" drop. It scrapes on everything but easily replaceable. I also covered 2" of the lower grill, 40psi in the tires and my average mpg is 36.1 compared to 32.3 prior to the mods. Best tank was is 43.5.

A&P huh? Me too. Retired from airline work now though. Not everyone has cleco pliers and clecos. Got a lot of those nutplates in my toolbox floating around.

That looks great! So, looks like you have about 3" ground clearance from the new dam? When you add your tire spats, try to stay around the same clearance as well unless you like the sound of scraping constantly... I do alot of driveway, parking lot entrances and speed bumps, maybe your cituation is different?

I dig the Lower block, I may be rethinking my adjustable one on mine atm! this looks much easier to work with

The dam is located far back from the front lip of the car, so curbs and such shouldn't be too much of an issue. It's almost inline with the front wheels.

Yeah, gotta love Cleco's!!
And nut plate jigs

I'd love to have my spats come up and taper a bit in front of the tire, to get the spinning rubber out of the airflow....

I'll see why I can come up with....

You will still rub at semi steep angles, as my dam has 3" across the entire front.
