I put a rock through the muffler and part of the exahust pipe near the manifold has a little hole in it from a rock ... it whistles at idle!

Whoa, that Insight sounds good!

My MR2 has a nice grumble from inside the cabin, but I think that has more to do with the lack of sound insulation between the engine 20 inches behind my head and the cabin. I bet the exhaust is pretty quiet from outside. If I weren't so lazy I might try to take a baffle out of the muffler to get some more bass.

Remove a baffle? Is it that easy? I think one of the super fart cans I was looking at to put on my scion before I went with the strup axle back had these disks you can add or remove to control back pressure as well as noise.
