Thanks man. I thought about it but decided not to. I tow a trailer on ocasion, and its nice to have them out there, also in parking lots I like to use them
Side note, I still havn't filled up, about 1/2 way between 1/4 &1/2 is typically 18-19 ga of gas. Where it is sitting should be 15-16ga, add 10% for the oversized tires, and I get 267 mi so far devide by 16 =16.68 mpg. We will see how close my guesstimate is.

Thought about an air dam or chin spoiler?

Taking some measurements today on my Beast.
18" to the bottom of the bumper. 10"to the lowest point of the front suspension(by the wheel) 8" under the rear diff. 12" under the frame rails.16.5" under the body.
So I am going to put a 8" air dam under the front bumper, then I want to "boatside" the body to frame then a full belly pan. In that order

My fathers 2wd 93 got 19-23mpg over its entire usefull life, now that its into its less than usefull life it seems to get 15mpg with a failing motor.
Oh and it would hold OD to about 45mph not 65mph. Maybe he has an infamous 700r4

I would be thrilled with 19-23mpg, mine has 4x4 with auto lock hubs( its locked anytime you drive forward). The motor still seems healthy no oil use and tons of compression breaking . And it will shift into od @45, I have a bad sensor somewhere as it starts bucking and spitting if I go to slow in gear(lock up tq converter)
got some materials for the airdam 8"x24"x1/4"polycarbonate
Thinking of mounting it like this...
I will trim a little off the edge and round the corner.
What do you guys think of the mock up?

Weigh that dude (CAT Scale Locator; Missoula & Milltown) and nail down tire pressure versus load as part of your baseline. And I'd be chasing steering wander as that, alone, will be worth more than aero aids short of long highway trips. Do the "fun" stuff (aero or elec fans) as time allows, and "serious stuff" (mechanical; which also includes brake drag & alignment) as funds allow.
I'd start, though, with electrical heating of fluids, year-round, to shorten warm-up time. Even where I live it is too long (time & distance). Partial grille block, etc.

Thanks man, she is in desperate need of some tlc(need balljoints, and new bushings all around) then an alignment, heater core, and find the source of my misfire(ignition for sure)as mentioned earlier, might be the dizzy. Last time I was on the scale she weighed 5800lbs with a full tank and my wife and I in it, 300 lbs. I will get to it. I want to get my Celica back on the road, can double my mpg right there.

Get the new raybestos ones. I was helping my buddy pick out some for his 4x4 and it turns out raybestous uses newer low friction ball joint technology found on much newer vehicles.
And rockauto had the best prices by far.
I use to always go with moog, but I think i'm sold on raybestos low friction units from now on.
Yes do the air dam. I want to know what to expect.
I think you got enough of a base line for now.
If I had to I would numericly quantify your baseline fuel milage as utterly dreadful. Lets do mods.
